Minnie M. Brockway was born at Cone, Iowa, Dec. 23, 1870, and passed away on Monday night, July 23, 1923, at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet, Ill., aged 52 years and 7 months. Her childhood days were spent in the parental home at Cone, Iowa. On June 6, 1900, she was united in marriage to Mr. Fred E. Williams at Littleton, Colorado, since which time the home has been mostly at Plainfield, Ill. She leaves to mourn her loss three brothers, George M. Brockway of Castle Rock, Colorado, J. M. Brockway of Aurora, Ill., and L. A. Brockway of West Branch, Iowa; also her beloved husband, Fred E. Williams of Plainfield, Ill. She became a Christian in her childhood days and untied with the Methodist Episcopal church. Mrs. Williams has been a faithful, loving companion in the home, and shortly before her death she committed her life to the Master, asking her husband to remember her in prayer.
Funeral services were conducted at Cone, Iowa, Thursday afternoon, July 26, at two o'clock by W. H. Wilson, pastor Friends church, West Branch, Iowa. Interment in the Brockway family cemetery. One brother, George, was unable to come for the funeral.
