16 January 1913 - West Branch Times

James T. Frame was born in Harrison county, Ohio, March 15, 1818, and died at his home near Richmond, Indiana, Dec. 29, 1912, being 94 years, 9 months and 14 days old. For the past five years he could not see nor hear with any satisfaction, and for 12 months previous to his death he was confined to his bed almost entirely. He was not afflicted with any disease or pain. Nature simply gave way under the stress of age--the machinery was worn out. At the close, while the attendant was arranging his pillow, he gave a slight shudder and ceased to breathe without a struggle.

The deceased was well know in Iowa having spent all his active life in Cedar county near West Branch. In 1850 he purchased of the government the southwest quarter of section 35, Gower township, which is now occupied by Curtis Barnhart and wife. During his last years at this place his daughter, and also his son, Joseph, and wife, resided on the farm with him. On Nov. 20, 1909, he left the farm and moved to Richmond, Ind., where he died.

He will be remembered by the citizens of our town and community.
