Susan Forney, widow of Levi Forney, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. E. Cover, of North Lima, Ohio, March 16, 193, aged 89 years. She was born in the town of Unity, Columbiana county, Ohio, Feb. 14, 1824, and received her education at that place. She was united in marriage to Levi Forney Feb. 14, 1844. In 1872 the family moved to the state of Iowa.

All the children born to them M.C. Forney of Brookfield, Mo., and Mrs. Cover, of North Lima, O., and Mrs. J. W. Lau, of Columbiana, O., are yet living. Her husband will be remembered as the tailor of West Branch for many years. He died in 1892. Since his death Mrs. Forney has made her home with her daughters in Ohio.

She has been a life-long member of the Methodist church and remained a member of the West Branch church until death.

The funeral was conducted at North Lima, O., and her son, M.C. Forney, of Brookfield, Mo., and grandson, Henry Forney, of Lincoln, Neb., and Morgan E. Cover, of North Lima, O., accompanied the remains to West Branch, where the burial services were conducted Thursday, March 20. Rev. W. H. Mitchell, pastor of the West Branch M.E. church, officiated and the interment was in the West Branch cemetery.
