Mrs. Laura Patrine Larsen, wife of Jens Larsen, residing three miles south of Springdale, Cedar county, Iowa, was born Jensen June 14, 1873, in Jutland, Denmark.

She was brought up in the Christian religion, baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Denmark. She was joined in wedlock to Jens Larsen May 22, 1902 in Denmark.

In 1906 she emigrated with her husband to America and came to the state of Iowa and has resided in the vicinity of West Branch ever since.

Mrs. Larsen died from a stroke of paralysis at her home, south of Springdale, Dec. 5, 1923, in the age of 50 years, 4 months and 22 days. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband and 2 sisters, Mrs. Niels Ottesen near Iowa City, Iowa, and Mrs. C. Nielsen, Copenhagen, Denmark, and many friends. Father, mother, and 6 brothers and sisters have preceded her in death.

Interment was made Dec. 8 in the West Branch cemetery, conducted by Rev. H. P. Jensen.
