Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hadley have received the sad news of the death of Mrs. F. E. Stanton, formerly Miss Laura Edgerton. Her death occurred at Omaha where she had gone for special treatment and her demise was unexpected, even by her family.

She will be remembered by many of the older residents, having been employed years ago in the Neal Madsen tailor shop at this place.

Laura Edgerton was born near Chester Hill, Ohio, on August 19, 1863, and was the daughter of John and Martha Edgerton, one of ten living. Her early life was spent in southern Ohio. She received her early education in the public schools and at the Academy at Barnesville, Ohio.

She was married to Elmer Stanton at Stromsburg, Nebraska, on December 24th, 18?? coming to Stromsburg a bride and with the exception of the years of her youth, had spent the most of her life there where she has been universally beloved by all who knew her.

Of the five children of Mr. and Mrs. Stanton four are living Mrs. C. F. Moore of Stromsburg, Chas E of Omaha, Miss Hazel M of Rochester, New York, and John T of Stromsburg, all being present at the funeral on Tuesday. One child, Laura, died at the age of nine months. There are four grandchildren, Kenneth and Stanton Moore and Jack and Laura Stanton, also a son-in-law C. F. Moore and a daughter-in-law Ella Stanton.
