Funeral services were held Jan. 19 in the Morgan Funeral Home at Lisbon for Mrs. Floyd Turkle, 91.

Mrs. Turkle died Jan. 15 in the Mt. Vernon Rest Home where she had lived the past two years.

Marietta Wentzel was born the daughter of Dan and Almeda Perry Wentzel in Cedar County on Oct. 21, 1882. She attended Cass School No. 3 and was married to William Huey on April 12, 1899. They were the parents of a son, Forrest Huey, Lisbon.

She was married to Floyd Turkle in 1920. She was a member of the Cedar Christian church, the Eastern Star, Rock Island Women's club and Auxiliary 22 to the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War.

Survivors include her son, Forrest Huey, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and three sisters: Mrs. Dora Johnson, Mechanicsville, Mrs. Mabel Wilkinson, Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Clara Thede, Maquoketa.

Her parents, a sister, Cora Clark, and a brother, George Wentzel, preceded her in death.

Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Mechanicsville.
