John Rush died at his home in Tipton, of pneumonia, on Friday, March 22, 1901, aged 78 years. Deceased had been in apparent good health until succumbing to pneumonia recently, and his death was very sudden. He has been employed in Kauffman's machine shop for some time, and his death was wholly unexpected. His remains were sent to Jefferson Monday for interment.
