Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at the Dye Funeral home Jan. 31 for Ada E. Bromell, 69, Waterloo, who died Jan. 29 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

The daughter of William H. and Mary E. Busch Bromell, she was born Sept 14, 1897 at Clarence. She was a graduate of Tipton high school and attended Iowa State Teachers college, Cedar Falls and Wartburg college, Waverly.

Miss Bromell taught school for 47 years, 17 of them in Cedar county, 13 years in Dunkerton and the remaining years near Waterloo, where she had made her home. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, the Iowa State Education association and Tau Sigma sorority.

The Rev. Sargeant Lusthoff of Calvary Bible church, Washburn, was in charge. Pallbearers were Eddie Faust Sr., Robert Friday, Duane Sayre, Leonard Bromell, Everett Ohrt and William Bromell, with burial in the Clarence cemetery.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Mrs. Louis (Hattie) Ohrt, Waterloo and Mrs. Nate (Frances) Sayre, Tipton, with whom she had been residing, and a brother, Joseph Bromell, Tipton; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and a brother.
