Phebe A. Pemberton was born in Ohio Oct. 22, 1840, and died at Wichita, Kansas July 13, 1923, at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 21 days. She was married to Thomas Knight April 23, 1862.

To this union six boys and two girls were born, all of whom survive her together with 25 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.

Thomas Knight died at West Branch, Iowa, Dec. 14, 1893. She was married July 2, 1904, to David Dean who died at Friendswood, Texas, April 5, 1916.

The deceased was converted in her youth and was a life-long Friend.

Funeral services were conducted from the Friends church in West Branch Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Wilson. Interment in the cemetery on the hill.

Those from a distance were Nixon R. and Mearl, both of Hardin county. Three sons and two daughters were unable to be here.
