On Monday morning, Jan. 22, Edward Rushek, age 21, son of Joseph Rushek, was found dead near the barn at his home, about six miles northeast of town.

From information obtained he had gone to the barn to do the chores, he had fed the horses, but nothing else was done. His sister called him about 6:30 for breakfast, but he didn't answer. A little later she went to see where he was and found him as stated above. She called Dr. Leech and upon examination there was found no traces of injury of any kind and from all the evidence, obtainable death was caused from a trouble of the brain.
