4 January 1923 - West Branch Times

Mrs. Britomarte S. Wilson, wife of Townsend T. Wilson, master of Malden High School, Malden, Mass., passed away at her home after an illness of four months. Mrs. Wilson was in her 57th year and was a native of St. Joseph, Miss. She was educated in Quincy, Ill., and taught school there and in Omaha before her marriage to Mr. Wilson in 1891.

Mrs. Wilson came to Malden 23 years ago from Brockton, when Mr. Wilson accepted a submastership in Malden High. They had previously lived in Saginaw, Mich. She was a member of the Old and New, a deaconess of the First Congregational church and was identified with all the womens activities of the church.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Oliver J., of Chicago and a daughter, Mrs. Lora Lodge of this city; also a granddaughter, Eleanor Lodge, her mother Mrs. Clementina Mills, who lives at the Wilson home, and two brothers, Albert J. Shurtleff of Saginaw, Mich., and Roscoe Shurtleff of Kewanee, Mich.

Townsend T. Wilson is the son of Mrs. Beulah Wilson of this city. Many old friends will remember him and extend sympathy at this sad time.
