Wednesday morning about eleven o'clock occurred the death of Sidney Lloyd at the home of his brother, James west of town. Funeral will be held today at 2:30 from the home.

Sidney Tudor Lloyd, son of John and Jane Lloyd, was born in Bristol, England, February 15, 1857. He died the morning of February 28, age 55 years, at the home of his brother, James, near West Branch.

He came with his mother and two brothers to West Branch, Iowa, in 1870 and has made his home here since that time. A feeble mother, three brothers, Penton of Redondo Beach, California, Arthur of Albion, Iowa, James of West Branch, and a large number of relatives and friends are left to mourn his death. His father and two brothers, John and Alfred, having passed on before him.

When able he was a regular attendant at the Friends Meeting on 2d street.

The funeral service was held Thursday, Feb. 29, at 2:30 p.m., at the home of his brother, James, after which he was taken to West Branch cemetery where interment was made.
