Harriett Marie Stepp was born October 13, 1922, and passed away on January 17, 1923. Until about the time of the holidays she was a remarkably strong baby. At that time an illness of very serious nature fastened itself upon her. All was done that love and skill can bring. The little soul did not stay very long and its short life seems more like a passing touch, but this little one taught her tender message of innocence and of love and of God. Her little body met a storm that was too severe but no storm had ever touched her soul. We know that it is of such that God makes His kingdom. These to whom the loss is so keen have another treasure where moth and thieves and time cannot harm her. The Father of love keeps such treasurers against that day when we shall be worthy to stand before Him face to face and take them to ourselves.

The funeral service was held in the Methodist church at two o'clock Friday afternoon, and Rev. W. G. Rowley spoke words of comfort. Interment was in the local cemetery.
