Death came to Murray Smith this morning at 12:45, after an illness of about two weeks with pneumonia. For the past few days he had seemed some better but at 11:30 last evening he became worse and his death resulted in a short time.

The funeral services will be held Saturday at St. Patrick's church, Iowa City.

Murray W. Smith was born Oct. 2, 1889, and died Jan. 19, 1922, after a short illness of pneumonia.

He was born on a farm in Johnson county and moved to Cedar county in 1903. In 1911 he was united in marriage to Katherine Walch. Three children were born to them, Gertrude, Mary Louise and William, all of whom survive him. He was a member of St. Patrick's church at Iowa City. Also surviving him are his parents, William M. and Ida Smith, two brothers, Alva and George, and one sister, Mrs. Scott Woodford.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning with interment at Iowa City.
