Harold R. Brown, son of W. H. Brown and wife, aged 23 years, died yesterday morning, Nov. 6, at 1:30 o'clock, of a complication of diseases. He had been in feeble health ever since having a sunstroke last summer. Dr. Clarence VanEpps of Iowa City was called Tuesday afternoon in consultation with Dr. L. J. Leech on the case, to no avail. The funeral will be held the last of the week, and the obituary will appear in next week's edition.

Robert Harold Brown, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Brown, was born August 6, 1889 and died at the family home near West Branch, Iowa, November 6, 1912, aged 23 years and 3 months.

He was a student in the West Branch high school, graduating with the class of 1907, since which time he has been engaged with his father in the management of the farm. His entire life was lived in this community, where he was popular among a host of freinds. He was a young man of many sterling qualities, and gave promise of a useful career; but after a brief illness, death came suddenly.

He is survived by the father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Hadley of Wilcox, Sask., Canada, and Miss Blanch; and one brother, Glenn; besides many relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral took place Friday morning Nov. 8, at 10:30 o'clock from the home, Rev. W. A. Montgomery of the Presbyterian church officiating. The interment was in the Downey cemetery.

Those who attended the funeral from a distance were, Miss Grace Brown of Parsons college, Fairfield, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Michener of West Liberty, Mrs. F. K. Michener of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tanner and Mrs. Charlotte Lehman of Iowa City.
