DIED - Darius W. Bowles at Springdale, Tuesday, July 8, at 4 p.m. The funeral was held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Friend's church, Springdale. He had been a sufferer from the grip for some time. His labors in the capacity of instructor have been devoted to the colored schools in Parsons, Kansas. He leaves a wife and child to mourn his loss.
