Mrs. Emma Kroening, 84, Durant, died at the Thurston Nursing home in Tipton Dec. 29. The daughter of Hans and Anna Christensen, she was born July 17, 1881 in Scott county.

Survivors include 2 sons; Harvey of Dallas, Texas and Elmer of Durant; one brother, William Christensen, Durant; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A son, 2 sisters and one grandchild preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 3 in Durant. Burial was at the Durant Cemetery.
