Chris Lausen, 75, died in Mercy hospital, Iowa City, at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Sheets funeral home, Tipton, with the Rev. Mr. Wetz, Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, officiating. Burial was in the Inland cemetery.

Mr. Lausen was born April 17, 1875, in Germany, coming to this country at 16. He married Lena Ruser in 1899. A son, Henley, Iowa City; two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Conrad, Clarence, and Mrs. Joe Smith, Bennett; and 10 grandchildren survive. The wife and two brothers preceded him in death.
