Last Sunday morning at 6:30 o'clock occurred the death of Sarah J. Hewett, at her home, which was with her daughter, Mrs. D. T. Nicoll, aged 75 years.

Sarah J. Graham was born in New York, March 2, 1831. With her parents she removed to Kingston, Wis., when a young woman. She was married to C. P. Hewett Jan. 4, 1852, who died Nov. 2, 1894. Mrs. Hewett is survived by three children, D. L. Hewett of Des Moines, C. D. Hewett of Burlington and Mrs. D. T. Nicoll of Clarence, all of whom were present at the funeral.

The remains were taken from Clarence to Kingston, Wis., accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Nicoll and Master Charles, and the funeral was held at that place Tuesday morning, followed by interment there. The community's sympathy is with those who will greatly feel the loss of "mother".
