Died. - Merton Tubbs, who lived on the Nelson Mitchell place seven miles northwest of town, died last Sunday afternoon. The funeral took place yesterday at the Pleasant Hill church. He leaves a wife and baby. He carried $3000 insurance in a Davenport company.
