A Sad Death - Death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Liercke last Thursday night at 11 o'clock and robbed them of their beloved daughter and eldest child, Frieda, aged 8 years, 6 months and 15 days. The child was sick but two days, falling an easy prey to lung fever. Frieda was born here July 15, 1893, and had well began her young life. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the German Evangelical church, with services by Rev. John Herrmann. Frieda's classmates from the M. E. school and the public schools attended the funeral in a body. The remains were laid to rest in the German cemetery east of town. The parents and Frieda's two brothers are sorely bereaved over their loss, but have the sympathy of all. The mourning ones do very much appreciate the kindness and sympathy shown them and sincerely return their thanks to all, especially Frieda's classmates.
