Kresten Jensen, 81, died at his home southeast of West Branch early Monday morning. He was born in Denmark, August 30, 1860, one of six children, of whom one brother, A. J. Jensen of Elgin, Texas, survives. He was married to Anna Christensen who died in 1909. Mr. Jensen came to America 62 years ago, and for many years has lived on the farm where he died. Four children were born, two of whom, Joseph and Salome, preceded him in death. He is survived by one son, Elias Jensen and one daughter, Mrs. Esther Christensen, and two grandchildren, Beulah Ann and Paul Marvin Christensen. Funeral services were held in West Branch at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. M. Estes Heney of the Nazarene church at Iowa City. Burial was made in the West Branch cemetery.
