Albert Wiese Sr. of Bennett, Ia., was fatally injured, and his wife was critically hurt in an automobile accident shortly before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday on the Duck creek bridge on Kimberly road north of Bettendorf, Ia.

St. Luke's hospital authorities said Albert Wiese, Sr., was dead on arrival at the hospital, while his wife Mrs. Lillie Wiese, was report in serious condition.

Their son, Arlan, 22, was driving the car, it was reported by Bettendorf police. He was also hurt.

The accident occurred near the El Rancho Motel, it was reported.

Mr. Wiese was a farmer near Bennett. The body was taken to the McGinnis Funeral Home in Davenport.

Scott county reports were to the effect that the automobile crashed into the bridge abutment on the north side of the highway.
