Frederick Perrien Dean was born in Rutland, Mass., April 16, 1833, and died in South Omaha, Neb., Feb. 25, 1912.

He was one of a large family of brothers, two of whom, Lott Dean of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Perrien Dean of Chicago, survive him.

Mr. Dean came west in 1855 and was engaged in the boot and shoe and poultry business in Tipton for about twenty years.

In 1877 he moved to Sioux City and lived there till four years ago when he removed to South Omaha.

He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Laura C. Dean and a daughter, Miss Ruth of South Omaha, and Miss Lillian A. Dean and Mrs. S. G. Frink of Tipton, daughters by a former marriage.
