Died, in Tipton, Cedar county, Iowa, on the 19th inst., JAMES BEATTY, in the 49th year of his age.

The melancholy circumstance which occasions the sympathy of a large circle of Friends of the bereaved family of MR. JAMES BEATTY, who died on Thursday last, is the following:

The deceased was in the afternoon of the fatal occurrence, suddenly attacked with the heart disease, and expired before he could be borne to the house, where medical attendance was promptly called, but so signs of life were discovered.

Mr. Beatty had been a resident of Cedar county over 20 years, and was an old inhabitant of Tipton, where he was ever highly esteemed, was an honest, unobtrusive, industrious man. The community have lost a worthy and exemplary citizen; and the afflicted family lament an affectionate husband, a kind and indulgent father.
