Louisa Eaton was born in Belmont county, Ohio, on June 20, 1852, and died at her home in West Branch, Iowa, on Friday, July 9, 1920, age 68 years and 19 days.

When thirteen years of age she with her parents and two brothers removed to Iowa and settled in this community. On March 3, 1874 she was united in marriage with Joseph C. Branson to which union six children were born. The husband and father died Dec. 9, 1889, which left the mother to raise the six children alone. Two children, Clyde Branson and Jessie Branson Wilcox, died a number of years ago.

Mrs. Branson leaves to mourn her death four children, Alton L. Branson of Muscatine, Earl C. Branson of Chicago, Maud Stratton of West Branch and Golda Gruwell of New Brunswick, N. J., together with sixteen grandchildren and two brothers Clinton Eaton and Wilbur Eaton both of Chanute, Kansas.

The funeral service was held at the home at half past two Monday afternoon and at the church at three o'clock and Rev. Glenn Rowley spoke comforting words from the fourth verse of the twenty-third psalm. Interment was in the local cemetery.
