Another esteemed pioneer resident of the Tipton community was summoned to the Land Eternal the past week. Mrs. Jennie Parsons, for many years active in the church and social activities of the community, passed away Saturday at the age of 79 years. Funeral services were held at the Tipton Methodist church last Monday with interment in the Masonic cemetery west of the city.

Jennie L. Parsons passed away at Independence, Iowa, Saturday, July 23, 1932.

She was born in Michigan April 27, 1853, to Charles P. Sheldon and Laura Sheldon. She came to Iowa in an early day with her parents, brothers and sisters.

She was married to Marshall A. Parsons January 1, 1872, who passed beyond in February, 1924. Their two children are Mrs. A. M. Bergman of Marengo, Iowa, and Sheldon R. Parsons of Muskegon Heights, Mich. There is left only one of her childhood family, Albert M. Sheldon of El Reno, Oklahoma.

She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and a member of the Woman's Relief Corps. Hers was a generous nature and before ill health brought its suffering her great pleasure was to make others happy.
