6 March 1890 - The Tipton Advertiser

Hardman - At her home in Marshall Co., Kansas, on Friday, Feb. 21st, 1890, Mrs. Mary Ann Hardman, in the sixty-sixth year of her age.

Mary Ann Dale was born in Union Co., Pa., Oct. 9th, 1824. She first removed with her parents to Crawford Co., Ohio, and then, in 1889, came with them to Cedar Co., Iowa, and thus joined the pioneers of this community. Her home was some six miles south of Tipton, where she was married to Cain Hardman and removed, first to Iowa Co., and then to Oketa, Kansas, where she died from a congestive chill, as already stated. Deceased was converted in her fifteen year, and was always found at the post of Christian duty. Twelve years ago she experienced the blessing of holiness and enjoyed it to the full. Now she "rests from labor and her works do follow her."
