Olive Elizabeth Hill, oldest daughter of Julius D. and Nancy A. Hill was born Nov. 11, 1856, at Morse, Iowa, and passed away at Eugene, Oregon, June 9, 1934.

She received her education in the public schools of Johnson county and at Iowa City. She taught for a few years and on May 4, 1881, she was united in marriage with Albert W. Jackson of West Branch. A printer and editor he followed his profession in Iowa and Nebraska, living for a number of years at West Liberty where their children were educated.

They made a large circle of acquaintances and friends there and in Cedar county.

Mr. Jackson retired from active work at Tipton and moved to Mabel, Oregon, where he passed away in May, 1929. Mrs. Jackson has since made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Leo C. Casterline.

Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Annette Casterline of Mabel, Ore., two sons, Lewis H. Jackson of Peoria, Ill., and Elmer H. Jackson of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother Edwin P. Hill of Los Angeles, Calif., and two sisters, Miss Nettie D. Hill and Mrs. Emma R. Ellyson of West Branch, also four grandchildren, George, Winifred, Leota and Elizabeth Casterline.

Interment was made at Mabel, Ore.
