The many friends here of Mrs. Carrie L. Dean were grieved to learn of her passing Thursday, October 20, 1932, at her home in North Hollywood, California, after an illness of several months. Her family has the sincere sympathy of the Tipton community, where she spent her early life, and where the memory of her genial disposition and years of usefulness still linger. Her son, Donald Dean, and daughter, Mrs. Howard Jones, were with their mother at the time of her death. Mrs. Dean, age 74, had been ill since July. Her husband, George Dean, who preceded her in death was formerly a Tipton business man and a partner in the Dean & Neiman Dry Goods store for years. Mrs. Dean went from Tipton to make her home in California in 1912.
