Thomas Pedersen, son of Anton and Marie Pedersen, was born Oct. 5th, 1882, at Northwood, Worth county, Iowa, and died Oct. 29, 1920, at West Branch, Iowa.

He came with his parents to West Branch in 1882 and made this place his home ever since.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was also a member of the Lutheran church.

Mr. Pedersen joined in marriage with Laura Jensen, Dec. 28, 1901, in West Branch, Iowa. To this union was born five children, two sons and three daughters, one boy Harvey and one girl Dorothy have preceded him in death.

Thomas Pedersen was found dead by his brother, Alfred, in his cornfield in the afternoon of Oct. 29th, having been dead for about two hours.

He leaves to mourn him his wife and three children, Edna, Hilma and Harold; his mother, Marie Pedersen; two brothers, Alfred and Anders and two sisters Mrs. Carl Olsen and Mrs. Sondergard, and also a great number of friends both in town and country.

The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Funeral service was held in the Lutheran church, Sunday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Two selections were sung by the church choir and two solos by Mrs. Thompson. Rev. N. P. Clemmensen of Chicago, Ill., spoke in the English language and Rev. Theo Beck of Cordova, Neb., in the Danish.

A great number of friends followed in procession to the cemetery where interment was conducted by Rev. H. P. Jensen, assisted by Rev. Clemmensen.

The casket was lowered with the remains of Thomas Pedersen to its last resting place to await the dawn of resurrection.
