Mr. and Mrs. Newton Branson have received a message from their son Harvey Branson in Pasadena, Calif., telling of the death of his father-in-law, Wilson C. Hirst, which occurred at an early hour last Sunday morning, June 7. Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Tuesday morning.

Mr. Hirst had been ailing for some time, but his death came unexpectedly. He is survived by his invalid wife, Rachel Tabor Hirst, and two children, Wilmer Hirst and Mrs. Mary Branson, both of whom have homes in Pasadena.

W. C. Hirst was one of the long time residents of this community having made a splendid farm home on the place now occupied by L. C. Larson, and the family has for years identified with the Hickory Grove community.
