Margaret Ellen Peden, daughter of Sarah and Duncas McLarand, was born at Rochester, Ia., Sept. 21st, 1868 and died at the home of her nephew at Rochester, Ia., July 17, 1941, aged 72 years, 10 mo. and 16 days.

She was educated in the rural schools of this community where she had lived all her life. She was united in marriage to James Peden of Rochester, Ia., who preceded her in death about ten months ago.

She is survived by two brothers, William of Rochester, Iowa, and Geo. of Knoxville, Iowa, and a number of other relatives and friends who join in mourning her demise.

Funeral services were conducted from the Rochester church Saturday P.M. at 2:00 o'clock by the Rev. A. W. Straub, with burial in the Rochester cemetery.
