Another of Tipton's pioneer residents, Mrs. Julia K. Ross, passed away Saturday after many weeks of frail health. She was married to Charles K. Ross on July 11, 1889, and Tipton was their home except for the years 1912-1919 when they lived in Iowa City. There were two children. She passed away at her home in Tipton, Saturday, July 16, 1941.

Mrs. Ross took an active part in Eastern Star, P.E.O., the Womens Club and the various organizations of the Presbyterian church. She and her husband united with the Church on October 27, 1907. Mr. Ross passed away April 26, 1928. She leaves two sons, Kendall of Tipton and Howard of Los Angeles, California.

Funeral services were at the Wilson funeral home on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. H. N. Poston of the Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.
