Edward L. Sharp, 72, life resident of Tipton community, died in his home here Thursday, July 31. He was born in Cedar county June 27, 1869, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phinis Sharp, and left this early home July 31, 1941, at the age of 72 years, 1 month and 4 days.

Mr. Sharp was one of a family of five children, all surviving him.

Left to mourn his loss are three brothers, John of Tipton, Roy of Muscatine, Luther of Grand Island, Nebraska, one sister, Mrs. Dora Swisher of Muscatine, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, August 2nd, at the McCormick funeral home here, the Rev. Max B. Pinkert, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church officiating. Interment was at Massillon cemetery.
