C. A. Anderson, 69, West Branch Resident Thirty Years, Passes
Death Occurs in Boulder, Colo., While On Vacation Tour With His Family

C. A. Anderson, 69, resident of West Branch for the past 30 years, died in Boulder, Colo., Tuesday, while on a western tour accompanied by his wife and daughters. The family left Saturday on a vacation tour of the Colorado parks and Mr. Anderson who had been in failing health for some time, became ill soon after arriving in Boulder.

He was born in Denmark July 28, 1872, and came to this country when he was 16 years old. He spent a few years in Yankton, S. D., before coming to Iowa and was engaged in the implement business for a time but in recent years had lived on his farm a mile south of West Branch.

The widow; three daughters: Virginia, Doris and Marian; a son, Sherman, who operates the farm; three sisters: Mrs. N. P. Olsen, West Branch, Mrs. Ben Loehring, McMinnville, Ore., and Mrs. Joe Kudrna, Dayton, Ore.; and four brothers: Nels, Viggo, George and Jim, Yankton, S. D., survive.

The body will arrive at West Branch Thursday morning by train. Mrs. Anderson and her daughters are driving home and funeral arrangements await their return.
