Frank Cook, age 58, some years back a tenant on the T. E. Brink farm now rented by Wm. Horn, died in Mercy hospital, Davenport, on Friday, Dec. 10, after a short illness.

The Cooks moved from Clarence to Davenport and ten years ago to Durant. Here Mr. and Mrs. Cook held a sale recently and move to Rock Island to make their home with their son.

Frank Cook was born near Sunbury, June 7, 1885, and received his education in the schools of Cedar county. November 20, 1907, he married Miss Mattie Roehlk and for some years the couple made their home at Sunbury.

Mr. Cook was for some years janitor of the Durant schools and later was employed at the Durant Municipal Electric Plant, resigning some few months ago.

He is survived by the widow, a daughter, Blanche of Davenport; a son, Andrew of Rock Island; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Wehde of Grafton, South Dakota and Mrs. Henry Schnaack of Wilton; two brothers, William of Algona and Henry of Provo, South Dakota.

The funeral was held on Monday following his death at the Durant chapel in charge of Rev. Fred H. Rohlfs of Rock Island. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.
