Carl Henry Stoter was born in Clarence on Dec. 15, 1893, and died in a hospital at Fort Madison on Sunday, June 18, 1944, aged 51 years. He married Anna Luettjohann March 15, 1923, and two daughters were born to them, Mrs. Freda Williams and Mrs. Ruth Siewierski, now of Davenport, who were present at the funeral, also Marvin Williams, the small son of Mrs. Williams.

The funeral, conducted by Rev. Fred J. Abele of Lowden, was held yesterday afternoon at the Beck funeral home and was in charge of Victory Post 286, American Legion. Interment followed in the Clarence cemetery.
