Since then Mrs. Goldsmith continued to make her home in Clarence but spent the greater part of this winter with her daughters, Mrs. Eilers and Mrs. Biere. It was at the latter home where on Tuesday, Feb. 13th, she was called by the angel of death to join her beloved departed.

She leaves to mourn her death, her son Ernest of Cascade, Ia.; four daughters, Elizabeth, Mrs. Fred Biere of Anamosa; Amanda, Mrs. Chas. Eilers of Olin; Clara, Mrs. Ira Mackey, of Long Beach, Calif.; and Ella, Mrs. Claire Long of Kinross, Ia.; sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; also numerous more distant relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Goldsmith residence and the St. John's church on Feb. 16th with burial in St. John's cemetery. Rev. F. J. Mittler officiated.
