Durant - Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Schneekoth, 76 who died at Mercy hospital, Davenport Thursday morning, were held at the Durant chapel at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial was in Durant.

Mrs. Schneekloth was born Oct. 22, 1878 in Wackendorf, Germany and came to this country with her parents when she was 2 years old. She lived in Clinton before moving to Monona county. On Aug. 17, 1896, she married Henry Schneekloth.

The couple farmed in Cedar county near Bennett and moved in 1901 to Walcott where they operated the Schneekoth hotel and tavern for 20 years. They moved to Durant in 1921. Mr. Schneekloth died in 1922. She was a charter member of the Royal Neighbors of Walcott.

Surviving are two sons, LeRoy J., Durant, and Hilbert D. of Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Lorerman and Mrs. Elsie Rucht, both of Mapleton; a step-brother, two step-sisters, a grandson and a great-grandson.
