Louis F. Koth, was born March 19, 1885 to Henry and Mina Gehrls Koth, in Massillon Township, Cedar County, Iowa.

He was baptized May 10, 1885 and confirmed March 26, 1899.

On February 22, 1911, he was united in marriage with Minnie L. Biere at the family home in Jones County. This union was blessed with one son.

Five years ago Mr. and Mrs. Koth moved from their farm to Clarence. His entire life was spent in this community. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Mr. Koth entered into rest on December 24, 1951, at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 5 days.

Surviving are his wife, Minnie Koth, and one son, Melvin Koth, 2 grandchildren Diane and Gene Koth, a sister, Miss Hertha Koth and a brother Alfred Koth, both of Clarence. One brother, William preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held from the Evangelical and Reformed Church on Thursday, December 27, 1951, at 2:00 o'clock, with the Rev. E. J. Bowers, officiating. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet with Eleanor Conrad at the organ. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Mearl Bixler, Doris Hoffner and Doris Biere. Pallbearers were Irvin Kintzel, Arthur Kintzel, Carl Kintzel, Howard Biere, Raymond Biere and Norman Biere.

Interment was made in St. John's Cemetery.
