Mrs. George Miller, nee Mae Bain, was born November 2, 1897, to William and Martha Thompson Bain, at Oxford, Iowa.

On October 25, 1918, she was united in marriage with George D. Miller at Waukegon, Ill. The Millers have resided in Clarence since 1919.

Mrs. Miller entered into rest on December 24, 1951 at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, having reached the age of 54 years, 1 month and 22 days.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church and the Women's Guild; Past Matron of Clarence Chapter No. 461 Order of the Eastern Star and Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Those left to mourn her passing are her husband, George Miller, three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Perkins and Mrs. Nancy Juehring, both of Clarence; and Mrs. Genevie Gruhn, Los Angeles, Calif., and one brother William Bain, of Iowa City, Iowa.

Funeral services were from the Evangelical and Reformed Church on Wednesday afternoon, December 26th, at 2:00 o'clock conducted by Rev. Edward Bowers. The music was furnished by Rosalyn Bergmann, Dorothy Claney, Norman Bergmann and Norman Goldsmith with Eleanor Conrad at the organ. In charge of the many beautiful floral tributes were Irma Kelly, Eleanor Sawyer and Esther Von Muenster. Pallbearers were A. W. Kemmann, Henry Von Muenster, Lester Kelly, Lawrence Kline, Sam Paul and Ralph Sawyer.

Interment was made in the Clarence Cemetery.
