Word has reached friends here of the death of Mrs. Ed. E. Douglass, 66, at her home at Marion, last week. Mrs. Douglass was formerly Luella Bremner, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bremner, who owned the "Roller King" grocery store where the Kelley Bros. service station now stands.

After leaving West Branch the Douglass family resided for many years on a farm near Manchester, moving to Cedar Rapids when advancing age necessitated his retirement from active work. Mrs. Douglass' mother, Mrs. Anna Bremner, is still living at Cedar Falls, where her granddaughter, Inez Walker, with whom she makes her home, is teaching school.
