Arthur L. Swisher passed away June 4, 1951, at home in Des Moines, Iowa. Mr. Swisher was born in Adair County, January 4, 1887. He moved to Des Moines at about 12 years of age. He was associated with the Chamberlain Laboratories for 43 years, retiring in May 1949 because of ill health.

In 1912 Arthur Swisher married Adah Denburger and to this union was born one daughter Lois. They had lived in Clarence about one year with their daughter, moving back to Des Moines about the first of May.

A veteran of World War I he was a charter member of Highland Park Post, No. 374, American Legion in Des Moines.

He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Lois Aschim and two granddaughters, Susan and Sally Aschim of Clarence.

Services were held Thursday, June 7th, from Hamilton Funeral Home with burial in Glendale cemetery in Des Moines.
