A retired photographer, Dorr Curtis, 77, of 1732 N. 74th street, Wauwatosa, Wis., died at the county general hospital Friday, February 15, 1952.

He began work at 16 as a portrait photographer in Detroit, was employed by the Braun studio in Two Rivers, Wis., five years, operated his own studio in Delavan, Wis., eight years and then became a "trouble shooter" for the Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N. Y. He lived in Wauwatosa throughout his 30 years with the firm and since retiring in 1942.

Mr. Curtis was a member of Trinity Episcopal church and a life member of the Fox River Valley Photographers' association and of the Professional Photographers' Association of Wisconsin.

Surviving are his wife, Olive, of Wauwatosa; a son Gerard, of Fair Lawn, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Williamson, Langford, B.C., and Mrs. Ellen Cook, Vancouver, B. C., and a brother, William, Toronto, Ont.

Gerard Curtis was not able to attend his father's funeral because of his critical illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 1952, at Trinity Episcopal church, Wauwatosa, Wis. A short prayer service conducted by Reverend A. D. Holtry of the Methodist church of Clarence, Iowa, was held at the Chapman Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon, February 19th, at 2 with burial in the Clarence cemetery.
