J. C. Ketelsen, Cedar Co. Pioneer, Called By Death Tuesday After Stroke

Jacob C. Ketelsen, 71 year old resident of the Wilton community, died Tuesday at the home of his son Jens in Cedar county, following a stroke suffered Saturday.

Mr. Ketelsen was born in Schleswig, Germany, and was married to Helena Thompson, June 11, 1880. They came to America the following year settling on a farm in Cedar county. They resided on a farm until a year ago when they retired and moved to Wilton. He had been a resident of the community 51 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran church of Wilton.

Surviving are the widow, six sons, Peter of Wilton, Herman, William, James, Ludwig and Arnold all of Cedar county and a daughter, Mrs. Fred Grunder of Cedar county.
