Angel Lee Sander, daughter of Leroy and Betty Sander, nee Boots, was born March 28, 1943, at Iowa City, Iowa. She passed away suddenly at the family home on March 1, 1953, at the age of 9 years, 11 months and 3 days.

She received the rite of Holy Baptism on April 24, 1949.

Angel Lee was stricken with Polio in October and was confined in the University hospital at Iowa City until two weeks ago, when she returned to her home.

She attended Clarence Consolidated Schools and was a member of St. John's Sunday school.

Survivors include her parents; two sisters, Donna and Sharon; a brother, Douglas; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Winnie Boots, Cedar Rapids and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sander of Clarence.

Private services were held on Tuesday, March 3, 1953, at the Chapman Funeral Home with the Rev. E. J. Bowers officiating. She was laid to rest in Clarence Cemetery.
