Martha Wilhelmine Horstmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Horstmann, was born at Lowden, on February 28, 1912, and she died of congestion of the lungs, shortly after midnight, March 4th, at the age of five days. Thus joy over the arrival of the little one turned quickly into sorrow of the parents, in losing of the little one again. besides the sorrowing parents, three sisters, one brother and many other near relatives survive to mourn the little one's demise.

Funeral occurred Tuesday forenoon with the services at the house and interment in the Lowden cemetery. Rev. Werning officiated. All here sympathize deeply with the bereaved parents.
