Elizabeth Kuhney Davis was born April 30th, 1866 to Jacob and Susan Kuhney in Berlin, Penn., and she passed away on Friday, January 23rd, 1953, at the home in Clarence, Iowa, at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 24 days.

When she was six years old she came with her parents to Iowa, settling near Clarence, where she spent the remainder of her life.

On November 1st, 1952, she suffered a paralytic stroke from which she never recovered. She was comforted and cared for by her sister Mrs. Emma Frink with whom she made her home for 38 years.

On March 14th, 1900, she was married to Geo. W. Davis who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Dayton Valley Wesleyan Methodist church which she joined in young womanhood and attended as much as she was able.

She is survived by one sister Mrs. Frink, six nephews, 2 nieces and a number of great nieces and nephews and many friends.

Four sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held from Wesleyan Methodist Church at Dayton Valley with the Rev. Elsie Stephens in charge at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 25th, 1953. The appropriate music was furnished by Miss Eleanor Kirkpatrick accompanied by Mrs. Elwood Kirkpatrick. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Harry Feddersen and Mrs. Irvin Resewehr. Pallbearers were John Ibsen, Ronald Kirkpatrick, Fred Bachman, Harry Carbaugh, Frank Decker and Harry Feddersen.

Interment was made in the Dayton Valley Cemetery.
