Dan Diehl, 91, retired Tipton banker, died early Wednesday, January 14th, in a Davenport hospital following a long illness.

Born November 23, 1861, in Henry county, Ill., he was married February 18, 1885, to Lulu Hecht of Clarence. Following her death he was married to Sally Stimson of Tipton on November 3, 1920.

Mr. Diehl was a retired real estate and insurance agent in Tipton. He formerly was cashier at banks in Clarence and Tipton.

He is survived by two daughters, Olive Alice Diehl, Davenport, and Mrs. Ray Walker, of near Chicago.

Funeral services were held on Friday, January 16th, at Tipton.

While Mr. and Mrs. Diehl lived in Clarence they lived in the home now occupied by the Wm. Barks.
